Swine Flu Vaccine, People Doubt Safety

Forty percent of parents in USA have doubts about the safety of the swine flu vaccine and have no intention to let their children getting the vaccine. Furthermore, the ABC News/Washington Post poll demonstrated that 30% of adults are not confident about the safety of the vaccine. This includes one in three parents, and 22% believe it’s “very” safe. These attitudes heavily influence intentions to get vaccinated, with views of the vaccine’s safety a stronger factor than the perceived risk of getting the flu itself.
